Status of Drug Cartels

Has it come to a point with the last few administrations that we have accepted that they are the true government of Mexico? For all the concern across the world from the members of the evil league, it seems like we have forgotten about the one that borders us. Also, do you think that they’ve taken advantage of our porous border to expand their operations? It seems like they are not a concern anymore.

Given that Israel (and other intelligence organizations) knows we leak things with total disregard to our security, do you think they gave us tainted Iran response data knowing we would likely leak it?
